British Airways has officially relaunched scheduled passenger flights to Abu Dhabi as part of its continued network rebuild efforts.

Service between London Heathrow and Zayed International Airport resumed following a four-year flight pause caused by the global pandemic and associated restrictions.

Operating as BA073, the flight bound for Abu Dhabi has a scheduled departure time of 2225 from Heathrow and an arrival the following morning at 0830. After close to two hours on the ground in Abu Dhabi, the inbound flight, BA072, departs at 1010 and arrives at Heathrow at 1520.

British Airways is using the 787-9 Dreamliner on a service that will operate year-round. The carrier believes this will significantly strengthen ties between the UAE and the UK.

We are really excited to be celebrating our Abu Dhabi route launch. The new daily flight connects Abu Dhabi with London Heathrow and beyond, providing our customers with another amazing destination within our expansive global network and further growing our connections with the UAE. With four cabins to choose from, including First, we are confident customers will enjoy our exceptional and original British Airways service brought to life by our incredible colleagues.

The airline will focus on multiple demographics, not restricting itself to just one with the service. Those travelling for leisure, business, or to visit loved ones are all targeted, emphasising the capacity for cargo.
