British Airways is temporarily reviving its nonstop service from Heathrow to Orlando with its Boeing 777 to meet peak Summer 2026 demand.
As part of the schedule, the airline will offer 3x weekly flights from 21 June 2026 through 29 August 2026, with the airline’s 777-200ER deployed on the route, a move expected in the third quarter of the year.
Departure will be scheduled as BA205 from Heathrow at 0820 with a 1255 arrival into Orlando. The return leg departs Orlando as BA204 at 1810 with a 0745 following morning arrival into Heathrow, all times local to their respective cities.
2022 Heathrow Cut: A Shift To Gatwick
British Airways’ limited service between Heathrow and Orlando marks the airline’s return following a shakeup announced in mid-2022 as part of changes to its Florida service.
As part of that announcement, the airline confirmed that it would scrap from December 2022 its London Heathrow service through to Orlando, with a bigger focus to be placed on London Gatwick operations instead, removing a link from the airline’s largest hub.

While representing a link restoration, customers’ frustrations centre on those located north of London, who are required to travel south on unreliable or expensive modes of transport to fly to Florida, especially those in Manchester, given that Gatwick already serves the market.
The temporary flight also coincides with summer holidays in the United Kingdom, across Europe, and even in the United States, which certainly points towards a summer getaway to enjoy what Florida has to offer, including theme parks.
Bottom Line: Florida Expansion For British Airways
British Airways will temporarily restore service between London Heathrow and Orlando, Florida, with its Boeing 777-200ER for the first time in several years.
The 3x weekly flight will cater to seasonal summer holiday demand as people head across the Atlantic for possible visits to beaches or theme parks.
