A Boeing 777 is set to be revealed wearing the brand of Indigo, an Indian low-cost carrier. The reasoning behind the aircraft sporting the livery is as Indigo recently launched Delhi to Istanbul flights with a Boeing 777. However, this was done through a wet lease with partner Turkish Airlines.
As a result of the wet-leasing partnership between the two airlines, a Boeing 777 will be painted in the Indigo colours. It’ll also be the first 777 to sport the Indian carrier’s colours.
Turkish Airlines revealed images of the aircraft in the paint shop, which is expected to roll out soon. This specific 777 will be assigned to the operations at Indigo—a landmark moment for the low-cost airline only looking to continue exploring its endeavours.
