Airbus has unveiled its orders and delivery performance for August of 2023.
The European manufacturer delivered 52 aircraft to 34 customers, with the total deliveries for 2023 now tallying 433 to 77 customers.
Notably, Airbus recorded 12 Airbus A321neos ordered from an undisclosed customer in August. Additionally, Wizz Air committed to 75 Airbus A321neos. Air Algerie ordered 5 A330-900s with 2 Airbus A350-1000s as well. Meanwhile, Avolon finalised a deal for the A330-900 of 30 units. Lastly, Airbus also recorded three orders from an undisclosed customer for its A330-900.
In total, 117 planes were sold for the month, which brings the total after cancellations to 1,218 or without 1,257.
Regarding deliveries, the Airbus A320neo and A321neo variants led the way with multiple deliveries to customers worldwide.
For Airbus, looking ahead, it hopes to conclude the year with 720 deliveries. This is up from its previous guidance in 2022, which saw a goal of 700 delivered. Ultimately, in 2022, due to supply chain issues, amongst other problems, Airbus would fall short of the 700 goal. However, it’ll be doing everything in its power to reach those targets this year. However, it’ll force an almighty push.
