
Six Airbus A220s have found a home with Croatia Airlines following Air Lease Corporation’s announcement regarding a long-term contract with the carrier. ALC says that these Airbus A220s will be delivered between 2024 and 2025 to the Croatian airline.
6 A220s will be delivered. However, this will be split between four A220-300s and two A220-100s. At the moment, Airbus currently has two variants in its family. Rumours and discussions from Airbus executives in recent time points towards there being talk of an A220-500 launching soon.

Meanwhile, Croatia Airlines has 13 aircraft in service. 6 Dash 8s, 5 Airbus A319s and 2 Airbus A320s. The A220 will modernise their fleet while offering the carrier more possibilities regarding its route network.
Outside of Croatia, its biggest market is Frankfurt, Germany, with 123 flights for JAN 2023 per Cirium data, amounting to 15,196 seats. This is down 2% of JAN 2022’s total seat count.
