Air Canada Announces Cargo Updates

Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Air Canada C-FVLZ Amsterdam Schiphol Flight AC824 From Toronto 26 AUG 2018

Air Canada Cargo, off the back of a busy summer season, will continue to offer customers year-round capacity to European cities.

A decision to offer these services follows a strategic choice to extend passenger services to a level similar to what was seen during the summer.

We are pleased to offer additional cargo capacity on widebody routes year-round, and provide customers with more options on key markets between Europe and Canada. The belly capacity of Air Canada’s passenger network complements our freighter service, and these new routes together with additional passenger schedule frequencies will bolster the offering over the Atlantic.

Matthieu Casey, Managing Director, Commercial, at Air Canada Cargo.

The cargo division of Air Canada will offer customers belly space on critical routes such as Montreal to Rome, Toronto to Madrid and Toronto to Copenhagen.

However, the plans also extend away from these destinations, with service to Lyon restarting in mid-October for their passenger operations. Thus, cargo options are being made available in the belly.

While any new or returning city pairing is exciting for Air Canada Cargo for potential belly cargo operations, services that are also set to grow will be hugely beneficial.
