WestJet has announced plans to boost transborder services to Las Vegas from 2024.
Victoria and Las Vegas will be connected with a twice-weekly connection commencing on the 1st of February, 2024.
Ultimately, the service is technically a resumption, as this is a reintroduction of a route that hasn’t been operational since 2017.
WestJet is proud to add our newest route to our winter schedule, and bolster Victoria’s transborder connectivity to Las Vegas. As we continue to provide guests across Canada with even more affordable and accessible opportunities to escape the cold and find the sun this winter, Victoria is an important part of our Western Canada growth plan.
John Weatherill, WestJet Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer.
Victoria Airport is thoroughly looking forward to the return of service to Las Vegas in what is believed to be hugely important for residents of Greater Victoria. Increasing connectivity to a popular destination non-stop is a significant step.
Per Cirium, WestJet has 107 aircraft in service, with its mainline operation being propelled by the 737 series, including 737MAXs and 737NGs.
The Victoria to Las Vegas service will operate on Thursdays and Sundays, with the outbound and inbound flights taking place the same day after a layover.
