Tupolev Tu-204-300 of Air Koryo at Vladivostok Airport

Air Koryo, North Korea’s national airline, has been given the green light to recommence flights between North Korea and Russia.

This substantial development will see flights resume for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic following the relevant permission being granted.

CNN reports that Air Koroyo flights 271 and 272 are slated to operate four times, connecting Pyongyang and Vladivostok.

Vladivostok remains one of the closest connections between North Korea and Russia. However, the route hasn’t been possible due to tight restrictions for some time.

Air Koryo has 16 in-service aircraft per Cirium with a substantial mix of aircraft available. This includes Antonov, Tupolev and Ilyushin jets.
