Air France is scrapping plans to offer nonstop service between Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Denver (DEN) with its Boeing 777-200ER.
The change, flagged by aeroroutes.com, means the airline will no longer offer flights throughout the Northern Summer 2027 season as previously planned.
Air France was expected to return to Denver in April 2027, with most flights offered during the peak summer months on its widebody aircraft. The SkyTeam operator was expected to offer three flights a week from 26 April 2027.
The schedule filing now shows the flights will not go ahead, with the French carrier not announcing a formal cancellation; previously, AF58 and AF59 were designated as the flight numbers for the nonstop route.
AF58 was scheduled to depart Paris Charles de Gaulle at 1325 and arrive in Denver at 1540 the same day. The return flight AF59 would depart Denver at 1740 and arrive in Paris the following morning at 1110, all times local.
The removal of the route from the inventory, as flagged in the latest schedule changes, even without firm confirmation from the airline, is the indicator needed to suggest the route will not resume after the conclusion of the Northern Summer 2026 season offering on 10 October 2026.
Air France exits Denver after 5 years
Air France first introduced service between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Denver in July 2021. At a time when airlines were pulling back international services because of low demand, the French carrier did the opposite.
The three weekly flights launched in mid-2021, initially as a seasonal service, before demand and available aircraft capacity justified year-round flying, but this was only temporary.

After a brief period of year-round flying from 2024 to 2025, Air France reverted to the seasonal pattern it first commenced in 2025. Across that five-year operational history, the 777-200ER hasn’t been the only aircraft featured, with the Airbus A350 also present.
During this most recent Northern Summer 2026 schedule, which will, for now, be the last time the route is served, the Boeing 777-200ER has at times been complemented by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, still on a thrice-weekly service.
Air France departs, and United Airlines comes in
With Air France choosing to exit the Denver market from its hub, United Airlines is gearing up to launch scheduled Denver-to-Paris Charles de Gaulle flights on 27 May 2027.
United Airlines has been scaling its international services in recent years, and its latest 2027 Summer schedule represents one of the largest and most ambitious yet. The route will operate on the Boeing 787-9 with daily flights, offering a higher weekly frequency than Air France.
Denver is also a United Airlines hub, providing vital Star Alliance traffic for the domestic and connecting network. Air France did not capture that same traffic, which depended more on local demand, and has therefore decided to shift away from the city.
Air France’s exit from Denver will make additional widebody jets available during the Northern Summer 2027 season for deployment to either a new city or an existing city on the network, requiring additional frequencies.
