Singapore Airlines is adding more flights to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, for the 2026 Northern Summer schedule. This is a temporary service lift.

As part of the change, the airline is ramping up its daily flights to 10 per week over a near-two-month period, with its Airbus A350 integral to these changes.

What Singapore Airlines Is Changing

From 1 August 2026 through 22 October 2026, an additional thrice-weekly flight is being implemented between Changi and Amsterdam. This added service is ramping up not just the number of seats but also the number of connection options on a weekly basis.

The added flight, SQ334 from Singapore, will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 1110 with an arrival penciled in for 1835. The jet then returns as SQ233 from Amsterdam, departing at 2035 local time and arriving back into Changi the following afternoon at 1540.

Singapore Airlines says that even with this change, it’ll continue to offer the same daily service, so the route will now be offered 10 times a week during the summer peak season rather than a permanent schedule redesign.

The extra tickets have now been made available for sale to customers, with demand expected to be strong across the two locations during this period, and SIA has the assets in place to respond.

Amsterdam Matters A Lot For SIA

Amsterdam has always mattered on the Singapore Airlines network and remains one of the more important European gateways, not only because of point-to-point demand but also because of the onward connectivity available through Schiphol.

The airline has seen demand increase and now has the backing it feels neccesary to increase capacity across this service to match it, with three flights a week, a strong commitment, and the Airbus A350-900 in the long-haul configuration selected for the flights.

Dai Haoyu, the Senior Vice President of Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines, said that through the Singapore hub, connections for travellers from the Asia-Pacific and beyond have always been seamless, and that’s not stopping anytime soon either.

The increase reflects not just current confidence but, fundamentally, the long-term opportunities along the route, with Haoyu very clear that they, as an airline, will find ways to extend this beyond October 2026 if something favourable presents itself.

A Boost To Europe As Well

Singapore Airlines’ commitment to Amsterdam isn’t isolated; it’s another step in the long staircase it has been building in recent years to enhance its network throughout Europe.

The carrier from its Changhi hub has launched a new five-times-a-week service to Madrid via Barcelona. Additionally, service increases have been observed in Manchester and Milan, where these flights now operate daily.

Furthermore, Munich now operates 10 times a week, and there’s been an increase to London Gatwick, which, alongside the airline’s commitment to London Heathrow, is served twice a day, totaling 14 flights every week.

With the latest shift in service to Amsterdam Schiphol, the airline is finding ways to support growing demand and connectivity requirements through its network, via Changi and onward to Europe, or in the opposite direction as well.
