Cathay Pacific is planning the Northern Summer 2026 schedule and, with that in mind, is addressing capacity requirements across its global map.
Dubai will become a central focus for the business as it makes aircraft changes for the Northern Summer 2026 season from Hong Kong.
The filing, as of 16 January 2026 and flagged by Aeroroutes.com, indicates that the initially filed A350-900 daily service between the two city pairs has now been revised.
Between 29 March 2026 and 2 August 2026, the Boeing 777-300ER will operate daily between the locations. Then, from 3 August 2026 through 1 September 2026, the 777-300ER will operate alongside the A350-900.
That will continue right through to 24 October 2026, with a couple more times, while the 777-300ER will feature across different dates, it’ll be complemented by the A350-900, thus providing equipment variations throughout the northern summer schedule.

By deploying the 777-300ER for the vast majority of flights over the A350-900, Cathay Pacific will see a capacity bump on what it calls an important route segment.
Cathay Pacific Also Boosts Flights
Away from aircraft changes towards Dubai, Cathay Pacific has also committed to enhancing its North Summer 2026 schedule with service through to Seoul Incheon.
The Hong Kong to Seoul Incheon segment is one of the airline’s most important, and this summer schedule will see the landmark return of a fifth daily flight.
This 5th daily flight has been missing from the airline’s network since the COVID-19 pandemic; it last operated in 2019/2020, when daily flight frequencies were substantially cut, so the number of flights per day did not reach pre-pandemic levels.
For Cathay Pacific, it has been a slow but neccesary process of rebuilding its international network, whether across short-haul services or long-haul segments, following years of government-imposed restrictions on travel.

The 5th daily flight will be operated by the airline’s new A321neo fleet, which has become critical for short- to medium-haul markets such as these, and will operate as CX426/CX427.
Cathay Pacific says the service will depart Hong Kong at 1945 and arrive in Seoul at 0025. The return leg, as CX427 departs Incheon at 0155 with a 0455 arrival into Hong Kong.
The airline has many other flights operating throughout the day, ranging from 0755 departures to the newly added CX426, which departs in the evening from Hong Kong.
