British Airways has announced the expansion of its London Heathrow network for 2026.
The flag carrier has confirmed that two new short-haul destinations will join the network in time for the Summer 2026 season, expanding network connectivity.
Tivat in Montenegro and Guernsey in the Channel Islands will become the two newest additions with seasonal flights launching to Tivat on 14 May 2026 and operating strictly during the summer season.
According to the Statistical Office of Montenegro (MONSTAT), figures indicate that, throughout 2024, there were 2.6 million tourist arrivals, with more than 96% of those staying overnight being international visitors.
With the location known for its mountains and coastline, British Airways is committed to being one of the driving forces behind connectivity to this part of the world, where demand is increasing by the month.
Montenegro is an ideal choice for those seeking stunning coastlines and year-round sunshine, and the addition of Guernsey is something we know our customers have been eagerly awaiting. As the only direct service between Heathrow and Guernsey, the route will offer conveniently timed connections to more than 20 European destinations, providing greater choice and flexibility for both leisure and business travellers alike.

Meanwhile, the airlines’ newly announced flights to Guernsey are expected to commence on 19 April 2026; however, these will be year-round, ensuring maximum connectivity at all times of the year.

This location has long been celebrated for its rich history, and the airline is looking to harness that by making it a market within reach for everyone, with much to explore. The company is the only direct service between Heathrow and Guernsey for the 2026 summer season.
Just as much importance has been placed on the airline’s ability to connect Heathrow to Guernsey, there’s also emphasis on the timing of the flights, which will allow for seamless onward connectivity from the airline’s home in London for those seeking travel onwards.
Onward connectivity to over 20 European destinations is possible. Whether people are after a Spanish, Swiss, or Italian getaway, there are no options. This is, without forgetting, the international markets, now more easily accessible, such as Los Angeles or New York on the transatlantic side.
