United Airlines is ramping up its international flying with more services for the Summer 2026 schedule.
The U.S. carrier says that four new cities will lead the way as part of its latest announcement, alongside other changes made to the network to boost connectivity to existing markets.
United Airlines will launch its new service to Split, Croatia, beginning April 30, 2026. The newly announced service will complement the existing seasonal flight from Newark Liberty to Dubrovnik with three flights per week on the 767-300ER.
Next, United will offer service to Bari in Italy, becoming the only airline in the United States to operate this flight. It will serve as a gateway from Newark Liberty, with four flights a week on the 767-300ER.
Thanks to this newly announced service, United Airlines will also be able to offer 15 flights per day to Italy with six destinations across the summer. Bari joins Palermo as an exclusive location offered by the carrier.
United will also become the only carrier in the United States to offer nonstop flying between the U.S. and Glasgow in 2026, the largest city in Scotland, which the airline highlights is known for its world-class architecture, pubs and museums.

This flight will be operated from Newark Liberty, with service commencing on May 8, 2026. The nonstop flight will feature the Boeing 737-8, a member of the MAX family, complementing the year-round Edinburgh connection.
More United Airlines Changes
United Airlines isn’t stopping here; it’s also confirming that it’ll launch a weekly seasonal service with its Boeing 737-8 from Newark Liberty to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, starting May 27, 2026.
The flight will extend the airline’s presence across Spain, which already includes Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca, and Bilbao. The newly announced service will help reach the iconic cathedrals and medieval architecture that this market has to offer.
As of May 21, 2026, a daily service will be operated between Washington Dulles and Reykjavik, Iceland, using a Boeing 757-200 to connect the two markets.

The airline will therefore enhance its presence across Iceland, with existing flights from Chicago O’Hare and Newark Liberty, and the newly announced service will also enable United to offer lie-flat business class seats between the two capitals.
From September 4, 2026, United Airlines will once again become the only U.S. carrier to offer nonstop flights between Newark Liberty and South Korea, with Seoul being added to the network with the 787-9.
Tel Aviv in Israel, meanwhile, will see a third flight commence from Newark Liberty on March 28, 2026, on the 787-9 Dreamliner. This flight will operate four times a week and complement the existing flights from other cities in the U.S.
