Etihad Airways is beefing up its international network with the announcement of seven new routes set to launch.

The new routes, once commenced, will help support service across the Gulf, Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, with both tourism and trade set to benefit.

Additionally, with 29 new routes launched in a single year, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates is well on track to reach previously outlined expansion goals.

The airline’s Chief Executive Officer said that the goal is clear internally: to be responsible for bringing more people directly to Abu Dhabi, and the routes launching between November 2025 and March 2026 will help achieve this.

Etihad Airways sees strong levels of demand to fly to new markets and to maintain competitiveness in a highly contested region. These route launches will help stimulate both tourism and trade demand between the end destination and the UAE’s capital.

These latest expansion efforts only continue to align with Journey 2030 initiatives, which aim to see the carrier expand significantly both its route network and fleet in a bid to be recognised as a global carrier.

Moreover, the latest route announcements come just after more destinations were unveiled for the Summer 2026 season, including Krakow, Salalah and Kazan.

The New Etihad Airways Routes

Firstly, launching on 9 November 2025, the company will begin flying to Medina with six weekly flights to be offered from its home in Abu Dhabi.

Baku will join the network from early 2026, with a commencement date of 2 March 2026. Flights will be offered 10 times per week, making this the highest weekly frequency offering of the newly announced locations.

On March 9, 2026, the carrier will begin flying ten weekly services to Yerevan, one of the oldest cities in the world and one of Etihad Airways’ highlights, as perfect for museums, galleries, mountain views and cultural heritage.

On 13 March 2026, Tbilisi will be added to the extensive route network by Etihad Airways, with eight services a week to be offered for customers.
