Cathay Pacific has once more announced international expansion plans for 2025 as it looks to enhance connectivity towards Europe.
For the summer 2025 schedule, the Hong Kong-based airline will offer 93 return flights per week from its home airport to 11 European cities.
A key part of that schedule will be the launch of direct flights to Munich for the very first time, alongside the return of Brussels to the network. These locations act as two major centres for European activity and thus are important additions.
The first service to Munich is expected to operate from 16 June 2025, with four weekly flights, complementing an existing service to Frankfurt. As a result, Cathay Pacific will serve two ports in the country moving forward.
Cathay Pacific highlights the economic, manufacturing and transportation centres that call Munich home and why this makes it such an attractive city to begin serving for leisure and business purposes.
Hong Kong to Brussels will also return on 3 August 2025, with the airline believing that now is the perfect time to begin planning a return to the capital of Belgium.
Cathay Pacific has continued to rebuild and expand its international network throughout recent times, following the effects of the global pandemic and finding that optimal balance has been important.
Furthermore, as Cathay Pacific has responded to evolving trends and the different trends that were present five years ago, certain cities may have launched as fresh destinations rather than returning to an existing location first.
On service to the newly announced destinations, Cathay says it’ll deploy its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 with spacious seats in Economy and Premium Economy alongside a commitment to offering fully flat beds in Business Class.

New Cathay Pacific Flight Details
CX300/301 will operate between Hong Kong and Munich with a 0110 departure and a 0755 arrival into the German City. Departures are scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The company adds that the return leg is scheduled to depart Munich at 1400 with a next morning arrival at 0655, a priority for onward connectivity to other Asia Pacific destinations.
CX291/294 is the destination for the Hong Kong To Brussells service, which is expected to depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with a 2335 departure and a 0705 arrival into Belgium. The return leg departs at 1615 with a 0945 following morning arrival back into Hong Kong.
However, Cathay Pacific notes that this schedule applies only between 3 August 2025 and 12 August 2025. From that point onwards, the return leg will depart three hours earlier in the afternoon.
