KLM will expand its international network across 2025 by announcing three new routes that are set to launch.

The Three New KLM Routes

From 8 May 2025, KLM has committed to launch nonstop flights from Amsterdam through to San Diego using its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

The route will depart thrice weekly and feature three class configurations: World Business Class, Premium Comfort Class, and Economy Class.

KLM further adds that departures will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, with the flight designated as KL639/KL640.

Meanwhile, KLM is also committed to expanding its flights further south. On 4 June 2025, the airline will launch flights from Amsterdam to Georgetown in Guyana.

The service, to be operated by an Airbus A330-200, will depart twice weekly. However, there is a catch: the fight acts as a triangular service.

KLM confirms that the route will originate in Amsterdam, arrive in Sint Maarten (SXM), and experience a short one-hour 20-minute layover before departing for Cheddi Jagan International Airport (GEO).

Lastly, as part of the latest announcement, KLM will debut three weekly flights to Hyderabad in India: on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Utilising the 777-200ER, this aircraft is configured in World Business, Premium Comfort Class, and Economy.

KLM notes that this service will depart in the morning from Amsterdam as KL873 and return to their home from Hyrdrebad as KL874, with an early 0220 departure, local time.

An Important Route Expansion

KLM is committed to increasing its connectivity worldwide. All these locations will form important pillars of the airline’s international network in the future.

San Diego is known for its coastline and diverse landscapes. It is the third largest metropolitan area in California and an important business market for the carrier.

Guyana has lots of untapped potential and business traffic flow to complement the existing desire to visit for tourism. Lastly, Hyderabad has pharmaceutical companies. The route will elevate the airline’s Indian presence.
