At the same time announcing plans to deploy its Airbus A350 to Canada, Etihad Airways unveiled further changes towards Boston.

The Abu Dhabi-based company says it will increase its flights to the popular Boston to daily and thus boost its North American network. The increase will take effect on 27 October 2024.

Etihad Airways will use its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner between Abu Dhabi and Boston. The aircraft can seat 28 in Business Class and 262 in Economy Class.

EY7 will depart Abu Dhabi at 1010 with a 1520 arrival into Boston. The return leg EY8 is expected to spend many hours on the ground in Boston before departing at 2220 with a next-day arrival into Abu Dhabi at 1915. These times are local.

Etihad Airways says bumping flights daily is part of the natural progression of the airline’s commitment to the United States.

The airline’s Chief Revenue and Commerical Officer says that flights to Boston have performed incredibly well since they commenced services. A move towards daily response to the fantastic levels of demand.

Boston joins Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., and even Toronto as part of its North American footprint. Before the pandemic, locations such as Los Angeles were featured, but the airline has yet to return here.

Service timings are optimised for customers who want to continue travel onward, thanks to their partnership with JetBlue and the use of Boston Logan.
