British Airways has announced big news, revealing its all-important summer 2026 schedule for customers with noteworthy adjustments.
London Heathrow and London Gatwick will remain the primary origin points for the airline as it looks to evolve its long-haul network and offer not just greater choice but flexibility in 2026.
Bangkok joined the airlines’ network only in 2024, but British Airways has seen overwhelming demand and has now confirmed these flights will turn year-round from Gatwick, a jump from the previous winter-only schedule.
Additionally, from Summer 2026, the services will be operated thrice weekly, with the winter season seeing six flights a week, perfect for those travelling to Southeast Asia to escape the cold of the U.K.
Jamaica will see an additional weekly service to Kingston from London Gatwick, making up four weekly flights during the summer season.
Five million tourists are expected in the arrivals hall by March 31, 2026, per the Jamaica Tourist Board, and this is thanks to a strong surge in leisure travel with more flights than ever.
British Airways Expands Into The US
The United States, despite political uncertainty, will remain an essential part of the airline’s route network with changes set to come.
British Airways says it’ll reintroduce double daily flying between London Heathrow and Miami International Airport, and will also reintroduce daily service to Dallas-Fort Worth.
Meanwhile, London Heathrow to Las Vegas will see an increase in services, jumping from 10 weekly flights to 13. This will also be via Heathrow Terminal 5 and is meant to offer more choice for customers.
Service upgrades will also occur through to San Diego and Austin, with most of these destinations to receive 14 flights per week, offering a better experience and access to a wide array of cities in the US.

New York JFK flights are getting a shift, all flights to operate from London Heathrow in a bid to enable greater connectivity within Europe and the US from the one airport and indeed onwards.
Nine flights will therefore be operated from Heathrow to New York, alongside the 777-200, which features First and Club Suite, with a greater emphasis on premium seating options on what it describes as its flagship route.
Anywhere Else For The Airline?
British Airways is also committed to the Middle East, saying it’ll offer daily services from London Heathrow through to Bahrain, representing more than double the number of flights it currently offers.
Additionally, there’ll be an increase from five flights per week to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, up to 14 services per week, thanks to enhanced connectivity between London and the location.
Fourteen flights a week will also be offered through to Doha in Qatar. Qatar Airways’ one-world partner will make onward connectivity possible from this global hub, allowing for access to many more markets.

Whether customers are travelling for business, leisure, or visiting loved ones, we hope they take advantage of these additional flights, which offer greater choice and convenience, making it easier than ever to connect with their favourite destinations around the world.
British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, Neil Chernoff
The short-haul network has already received upgrades with Rabat and Graz thanks to BA Euroflyer. Year-round services will be offered, some from the winter season and more set to come in the future.
