Condor, a German leisure airline that focuses heavily on long-haul markets, has filed for capacity increases on three routes for the Northern Summer 2026 schedule.
The adjustments, flagged by aeroroutes.com, will see the airline lean heavily on its efficient wide-body Airbus A330-900 fleet, part of the A330neo, in a move that appears aimed at meeting peak vacation demand, which comes amid most airlines reducing their networks in response to the doubling of jet fuel prices.
Condor A330neo Changed Overview
As part of the latest schedule filing, Frankfurt to Mauritius will see the number of weekly flights increase from 4 to 5 from 27 June 2026. This caters to those in Europe who are chasing a more Indian Ocean-type getaway and comes right before the onset of school holidays, too.
The Frankfurt to Punta Cana service, which will start more immediately from 1 May, 2026, will see a sizeable jump, with the current four weekly flights on the A330-900 rising to 6 flights per week, then going one step further, with Condor committed to daily service with 7 weekly flights from 30 June, 2026.

Lastly, the airlines’ Frankfurt flight to Zanzibar and Mombasa, then back to Frankfurt, will, from 1 July 2026, increase from 3 flights a week to four. This is the more intriguing flight tag, focusing on a niche East African itinerary perfect for getaways and island hopping, which aligns directly with the Condot business model that centers on building key activities that can be combined into leisure travel.
The Airbus A330neos Important Role
All these changes are being made possible thanks to the airlines’ A330neo, the workhorse of the fleet, following Condor’s progressive transition away from Boeing aircraft over the years, with the 757 and 767 having departed.
For 35 years, Boeing aircraft have played an important role in connecting Condor to the world; however, the retirement, marked by exclusive farewell flights in November 2025, was not a celebration but a recognition that the page needed to turn, as the 757-300 operated the last flight.
Announced in early 2024, the fate of the Boeing 757 fleet was finalised, with Crestone Air Partners purchasing 11 of the 757-300s in an agreement that allowed Condor to take the next step in its fleet transition efforts.

As a result, the A330neo achieves 20% fuel savings over legacy widebodies. With the fleet of Airbus A330neos now standing at 18, Condor has rapidly leaned on these jets’ capacity for deployments to high-demand vacation destinations with strong load factors, regularly making changes to respond to shifting trends.
These A330neos, when paired with commitments to other next-generation models such as the A321neo and A320neo, have allowed Condor to bring down the average age of the fleet. When fuel price volatility strikes, having a young fleet with a strong next-generation mix is crucial to offsetting costs as much as possible.
