Air France has announced a huge expansion into Canada with a new service and a frequency increase in key cities.

From June 27th, the airline will launch a 5x weekly non-stop flight from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Ottawa. An Airbus A330-200 will operate the flights.

Ottawa is the fourth largest city in the country. It is also home to many critical federal institutions. Air France is excited to launch flights to Ottawa and believes it will provide an essential transatlantic connection between France and the city.

This new service will tie in with the resumption of a Quebec City service. This will be a 3x weekly and be operated by their 787-9. Air France has planned a May 2nd launch for these flights once more and is off the back of a summer 2022 launch.

Additionally, Air France has increased services to Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. These city pairings with Paris Charles de Gaulle are year-round. Including two daily flights to Toronto, three daily flights to Montreal and one daily flight to Vancouver.

Meanwhile, KLM, part of the Air France-KLM Group, will connect Amsterdam-Schipol to other Canadian destinations, including Calgary and Edmonton, with 7x and 4x flights weekly.

Ultimately, the airline says it will operate 50 flights per week to 5 destinations in Canada.
