WOW Air announces new Vancouver service

After canceling 3 U.S routes and dialing back services on others WOW Air has wasted no time in announcing a new route to Vancouver from Dublin to Vancouver in Canada. The flight will operate via Reykjavik in Iceland and will begin in the summer of 2019. The flight will operate six times weekly, to begin with, and will operate on every other day except Saturday.

The new service will cost €129.99 one way from Dublin to Vancouver via Reykjavik with the first flight departing on June 6th, 2019. WOW Air who have continued to expand their trans-Atlantic operations will battle the likes of Air Canada, British Airways and Lufthansa who all operate from Dublin to Canada.

The A321neo will be the aircraft used for the flights. With a four hour layover in Iceland, the flight will depart Reykjavik at 5:20pm and arrive in Vancouver at 6:15pm.

In a statement, the CEO and airline founder Skúli Mogensen said “We are delighted to expand our roster of destinations to include Canada’s west coast,”

“The new route in Vancouver is a testament to our commitment to pursue growth in North America, as well as connect more Canadian travelers to our growing list of overseas destinations.”

  1. Hello Daniel, could you please talk about Schiphol Amsterdam Airport in your next video? I find it a great airport with a lot of intercontinental connections. Thank you very much
