WestJet is not slowing down its expansion efforts, with the Summer 2025 schedule becoming one of the airline’s most important.
While routes will operate during the summer, WestJet also highlights its relationship with Air France, which was recently enhanced to foster onward connectivity from Paris to 52 European cities.
A Focus On St. John
St. John’s is the airline’s first port of call for enhancing its summer schedule in 2025 with a new direct service to Paris alongside the return of flying to Dublin.
To make up for the summer transatlantic schedule, WestJet will offer twice-weekly flights from St John’s to Dublin from 22 May 2025 through 23 October 2025.
Furthermore, the airline will also offer flights four times per week between St. John’s and London Gatwick, with service commencing on 28 April 2025 and ending on 25 October 2025.
Lastly, and making a debut, is the airline’s service to Paris, with one weekly flight jetting off on 18 May 2025 through to 19 October 2025 as part of the airline’s commitment to Europe and its relationship with Air France.
WestJet Expands From Halifax
Away from St. John, the carrier has also announced its 2025 summer schedule will enhance connectivity from Halifax, making this an important pillar of transatlantic connectivity.
While the focus will be placed on transatlantic offerings equally to facilitate travel to the eastern part of Canada, WestJet knows it has to enhance domestic travel from the western part of the country.
To make up the 2025 summer schedule, the carrier will offer four weekly flights between Halifax and Paris, operating from 16 May 2025 through 25 October 2025.
Meanwhile, Halifax to Edinburgh will also be offered with three weekly flights from 15 May 2025 to 14 October 2025. WestJet is also committed to Dublin with four weekly flights commencing 20 May 2025 through 13 October 2025.
We are delighted to welcome back WestJet’s non-stop Paris service next summer! This route, which has operated in past summer seasons, is extremely popular and will expand our region’s connectivity with Western Europe, supporting our position as an important Canadian gateway. We look forward to being the first stop for even more European visitors to our region next summer, strengthening tourism activity and growth.
Joyce Carter, President & CEO, Halifax International Airport Authority.
Lastly on the airline’s list is Halifax to London flights commencing a little earlier on 28 April 2025 and running thrice weekly through 25 October 2025. As a result, all these aforementioned routes are to be operated on a seasonal basis, catering to the significant levels of demand expected.
