Virgin Atlantic Officially Joins Skyteam Alliance

After a lot of discussion, planning and formalities days ago, Virgin Atlantic became the newest member of Skyteam Alliance.

Formally as the airline joins the alliance will enhance Skyteams presence at both London Heathrow and Manchester Airport. Virgin Atlantic is the only UK airline part of the carrier, and its network will benefit significantly in the critical transatlantic sector.

Virgin Atlantic joins Korean Air, Vietnam Airlines, Aeromexico, Air Europa, and China Airlines, among many others.

We are delighted to welcome Virgin Atlantic into SkyTeam, taking an already close relationship to new heights and elevating our customer offering with more routes to exciting destinations and access to aspirational airport lounges – not to mention the airline’s world-famous flair.

Patrick Roux, SkyTeam CEO and Managing Director

Virgin Atlantic has had a long-standing relationship with Delta, another airline part of the alliance. Hence a decision to join SkyTeam seemed for many not only the natural choice but also long overdue.

We want to reward those who choose to fly with Virgin Atlantic and our Flying Club members deserve the very best loyalty proposition.  Our SkyTeam membership offers this through a global network of maximised reward opportunities, alongside enhanced services on the ground and in the skies.
