S7 Airlines welcomes first 737 MAX
Russian carrier S7 Airlines known for their vibrant livery today celebrated the delivery of their first 737 MAX. The aircraft has been taken via lease from the Air Lease Corporation.
The General Director of Globus Airlines, Vadim Klebanov said “We always stay up-to-date with the latest developments of manufacturers and actively implement them to improve our service. The airline’s fleet already includes 19 Boeing 737Next Generation aircraft. The new Boeing 737MAX that we received today from our partners at Air Lease Corporation offers even more passenger comfort, reduced noise level, and lower environmental impact. We are delighted that our passengers will be the first in Russia to appreciate the benefits onboard these new generation airplanes.”
The carrier which is operated by Globus airlines is the first Russian airline to operate with the 737 MAX and will take on board a further 10 more MAX jets over the course of the next few years. The airline aims for these aircraft to help strengthen its current fleet.
