Qatar Airways is expanding its route map, using the Summer 2026 season as a platform to show just how quickly its global network can bounce back.

The airline, through a new campaign centered on 26 key cities and an enhanced schedule, sees its Doha-based carrier surpass 150 global destinations as of 16 June, 2026, as its footprint continues to evolve.

Whether in African cities, Europe, Asia, or the Americas, the airline is leaning on what it describes as a renewed demand for long-haul travel that’s fuelling this expansion.

26 Cities Added By Qatar Airways

The headline of the new campaign is that 26 cities have been added for Qatar Airways. This is one of its strongest pushes in company history to elevate the number of destinations on its network and cover all areas of the globe.

Whether it’s the classic European hubs or emerging gateways such as those in Africa, the airline describes the cities as perfect for restoring not just connectivity for the summer season but also for exceeding pre-pandemic levels in some cases.

Now more than 150 destinations will be served from Doha between 16 June 2026 and 15 September 2026 for the peak period of the Northern Summer 2026 season. This is a sign of things to come in future years as the airline continues to scale capacity where applicable.

The refreshed timetable sees the airline deploy more flights to existing cities first and foremost. This move is simple but allows the airline to offer more capacity on a day-to-day basis to some of the most in-demand destinations from its Doha hub.

Passengers are thus being rebooked where neccesary during this window if any of the schedule tweaks impact their service. However, there is added flexibility with free date changes until 31 October 2026, along with the option of a refund if needed.

Breaking Down The Additions

In addition to what was previously announced, flying to Port Sudan (PZU) is slated to commence on 2 July 2026. Africa will see enhanced connectivity as the following destinations resume service.

Kigali (KGL) in Rwanda will resume twice-weekly flights. Seychelles (SEZ) is getting flights four times a week. Then there’s Marrakesh (RAK) in Morocco, with seven flights a week, which amounts to daily service.

Additionally, service to Caracas (CCS) and Bogota (BOG), commencing on 22 July, will further enhance flying to this part of the world. Landmark flights to Philadelphia are also slated to resume from 1 August, 2026, after the airline dropped service years ago in favor of American Airlines. This partner recently pulled its own flights, leaving the Doha-based carrier absent entirely.

Its network to the Americas will be enhanced as the official airline partner of the FIFA World Cup 2026, thanks to four flights a week to Boston. Those Boston flights, however, will be increased to 7 per week to support fan travel during the tournament, too.

The Americas’ connectivity doesn’t stop with Los Angeles, increasing from four flights a week to seven. Miami will jump from seven flights a week to 10, and then San Fransico’s four flights a week will also scale up to seven, matching daily service like Los Angeles.

Asia Pacific Sees Strong Connectivity

In the Asia-Pacific region, Qatar Airways is also returning to the following destinations, a landmark step toward recovery and enhanced service options.

Adelaide (ADL) in Australia will return strongly, with the airline committed to offering daily flights. Alamaty (ALA) is also returning with seven flights a week. Auckland (AKL) is the same, with a daily flight to be offered.

Moving forward, Baku (GYD) in Azerbaijan will return to the network map with seven flights a week. Osaka (KIX) is returning with five flights a week. Tashkent (TAS) in Uzbekistan will also see four flights a week.

Tbilisi (TAS) in Georgia will welcome seven flights a week. Then Tokyo Haneda (HND) in Japan is enjoying four weekly flights, but this will increase to seven or daily service from 1 July 2026 as the Japanese market gains greater connectivity to the Middle East and onwards with the oneworld member.

Lastly, for the Asia Pacific region, Yerevan (EVN) in Armenia is returning with the airline committed to four flights a week here.

Qatar Airways Doesn’t Forget Europe

With Europe being one of the airline’s most important markets, there is no shortage of cities it can serve with its own aircraft, and this summer, expanded service is a key focus.

The Doha-based carrier has carefully curated the frequency bumps to include destinations perfect for a leisure getaway, whether for sandy beaches during the Summer months or up north for a more relaxing and culturally enriching holiday. These markets are also important for exports/imports, not to mention business travel.

  • Belgrade (BEG), Serbia, with four weekly flights
  • Brussels (BRU), Belgium, with seven weekly flights
  • Budapest (BUD), Hungary, with four weekly flights
  • Düsseldorf (DUS), Germany, with seven weekly flights
  • Helsinki (HEL), Finland, with four weekly flights (increased to seven weekly flights from 1 August)
  • Lisbon (LIS), Portugal, with seven weekly flights
  • Oslo (OSL), Norway, with seven weekly flights
  • Prague (PRG), Czech Republic, with seven weekly flights
  • Zagreb (ZAG), Croatia, with four weekly flights
