Porter Airlines has continued its busy plans for 2023 with a new announcement. The news has revealed that Porter Airlines will develop Saint-Hubert Longueuil Airport. This is an airport that is located closer to downtown Montreal and benefits thanks to fewer flights.
The carrier, which has rapidly expanded with new aircraft and routes in recent months, believes developing the secondary airport is the next logical step. By the end of 2024, the expectation is that a new terminal with a capacity for up to 4 million per year will be completed.

Porter Airlines sees great potential with this new airport terminal that they’ll greatly benefit from. It primarily includes new routes that can operate out of the airport. The secondary airport will broadly link Porter to its Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Toronto Pearson. Two hubs for the airline.
Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International is the primary airport for Montreal and Quebec. However, Porter believes there’s always a market for a secondary offering, especially as Montreal grows as a city.
By launching flights out of St Hubert, customers will see more benefits, notably processing times with fewer flights departing.
Saint-Hubert has incredible potential as a complementary secondary airport for Montréal, with a convenient location for a significant portion of the local market and also easy access to downtown Montréal. We have proven this concept at Billy Bishop, now one of the world’s best urban airports, and look forward to working with our partners at Saint-Hubert to help create a similar success story

Porter Airlines announced that carriers such as Pascan Aviation could utilise the terminal. Pascan Aviation focuses on regional flights to destinations across Quebec with its fleet of aircraft.
