Porter Airlines has celebrated the launch of flights between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
Service launch is another critical step in the continued building of the Porter Airlines network, which has been made possible thanks to the Embraer E195-E2s.
Porter celebrates not just the launch but also this now being the second destination in California the company has launched services to in 2024 alone, with the first month of the year not up yet.
The Porter Airlines Schedule
Porter Airlines will operate a daily flight between Toronto Pearson and San Francisco. This flight will depart at 1030 with a 1322 arrival into SFO. The aircraft will depart SFO at 1450 and arrive in Toronto at 2246. These times are local to their respective cities.
The Use Of The Embraer E195-E2
Porter Airlines will utilise the Embraer E195-E2, a new addition to the Porter fleet. Fleet data indicates that the airline already has 29 of these, 27 in active service and two parked. The average age for its Embraer fleet sits at an incredibly young 0.6 years of age.
These E195-E2s have 132 economy-class seats. However, the aircraft has a two-by-two configuration, so there’s no middle seat aboard these flights.
Porter says the E195-E2s are also configured to have fast and free Wi-FI, enabling guests to stay connected throughout their flight. On top of that, PorterReserve offers customers an additional cost priority check-in, extra legroom seats and food and drinks onboard.
San Francisco is a major hub for travellers, who can now choose Porter’s unmatched all-economy onboard service when travelling between California and Eastern Canada, and connecting to destinations around the world. Adding San Francisco to our network is the latest step in our growth across North America, which is continuing throughout 2024.Kevin Jackson, president, Porter Airlines
