JetBlue has announced it’ll expand its route network to include new destinations while making other changes.

The network changes will notably see JetBlue reaffirm its position as the largest carrier in Puerto Rico.

Expansion From San Juan

The airline says it will offer six new destinations from San Juan (Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport) to boost connectivity.

From October 27, the airline will launch daily service to Providence (PVD) and Westchester County (HPN).

JetBlue adds that starting on October 28, it’ll begin service to Santiago (STI) in the Dominican Republic with a daily flight. Medellin (MDE) In Colombia will launch on October 29 with four weekly flights to be offered.

October 28 will also launch service to and from Cancun (CUN) in Mexico, a top-rated holiday destination with a thrice weekly service.

Lastly, from December 12, the airline says it’ll begin flights to St. Croix (STX) with one daily flight. JetBlue entered the Puerto Rico market in 2002, offering low fares and a customer-centric experience.

Now, over 370 employees are directly employed across the region, and this number will grow significantly to meet the demand.

JetBlue Expands Mint Service

Additionally, JetBlue used the release as a chance to announce it’ll build upon expanding premium travel to destinations of Phoenix and Vancouver.

Launching this winter, every flight to Phoenix Sky Harbour will feature the Mint experience offered by the airline. Additionally, this will complement existing services to other cities across North America.

For the first time, New York and Vancouver will be connected with the Mint suite through a daily service. Fort Lauderdale and Las Vegas have also been touted as other city pairings to get the premium experience.

Labelled as award-winning, JetBlue’s key executives say their ambition is to continue rolling out more premium experiences to more cities with time.

An overview of the JetBlue Minit suite offered to customers pitched as a more premium offering for travellers across the airline’s route network.

JetBlue says it’ll offer its Mint cabin experience on the following routes:

New Routes Launching Soon

JetBlue says it’ll also add new routes from New York JFK to St. Vincent (SVD) and Bonaire (BON), with the frequency and launch date to be announced.

New routes, service adjustments, and flight boosts are all part of JetBlue’s attempts to reshuffle its business, grow, and meet existing demand.

In a turbulent start to 2024, the carrier hopes to smooth things out and finish the year strongly.
