Cathay Pacific has confirmed the upcoming launch of a new route as it strengthens its international service.
The new route is actually a returning market, with nonstop flights set to resume to Seattle on March 30, 2026.
The important reconnection follows a previous route suspension and means Hong Kong has a more enhanced connectivity to the West Coast of the United States.
This market rejoining also marks the ninth passenger destination in North America to be served, as the carrier looks to meet demand that has been steadily increasing following the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
CX852 will be the designated flight number for service between Hong Kong (HKG) and Seattle (SEA), departing at 1330 and arriving at 1010.
Cathay Pacific confirms that the flight will be operated five times a week, with departures on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
The returning flight departs as CX853 from Seattle (SEA) at 11:50 and arrives in Hong Kong (HKG) the following day at 16:45, all times local to their respective cities.
With 110 return flights per week across North America, including markets such as Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver, Toronto and more, there are options for many with such a comprehensive schedule to be offered.

The Airbus A350-900 will be operated across the route, offering a state-of-the-art product. As the airline confirms, spacious economy and premium economy seats will be available alongside a fully flat bed in business class.
Cathay Pacific will also meet cargo demand across the route, utilising the belly space of passenger flights and operating 40 return freighter flights per week, all of which are completed by the Cargo division.
Cathay Pacific Flight Increases & More
Away from the highly touted relaunch of service to Seattle, Cathay Pacific has also confirmed the increase in flying across another popular service.
As of October 26, 2025, the Hong Kong-based company will increase its flights to Dallas/Fort Worth, offering daily service. A significant increase from the current four return flights.
In addition to this, the airline will also move forward with other enhancements to flying across North America, including the opening of a first-ever dedicated aircraft lounge in New York. This 10,000-square-foot flagship product is set to open in 2026.

Meanwhile, the award-winning business class and all-new premium economy, paired with refreshed cabins, are being deployed on select flights to Vancouver.
Cathay Pacific recognises the importance of North America, and with that in mind, is continuing to increase its flights and finding ways to cater to strong demand levels.
