Arkia Israeli Airlines welcomes first A321LR
Arkia Israeli Airlines has taken delivery of the world’s first Airbus A321LR.
The Airbus A321LR is the latest version of the A321 Family and offers carriers flexible operations with its ability to fly long range.
Tel Aviv-based Arkia Israeli Airlines were founded in 1949 as Isreal Inland Airlines and have chosen Airbus to take them forward in the future with 2 orders also placed for the Airbus A330-900neo. The airline also operates the E190, E195 and 757.
This is the first of 3 A321LRs to join the airline. Arika fitted their A321LRs with 220 seats in a single class layout. That class being economy.
The A321LR can fly for up to 7,400km or 4,000nm and tap into new long-haul markets currently not served.
