American Airlines Adds Dallas To Brisbane Route

American Airlines will launch daily seasonal nonstop flights between Dallas-Fort Worth and Brisbane, Australia, for the first time in October.

American Airlines has announced plans to launch service to Brisbane (BNE) in Australia from October 2024 with its leading Boeing 787-9 equipped with Flagship Suite seats.

The Schedule To Brisbane

American Airlines will serve Brisbane from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), the first service between the two city pairings and launch from America’s largest hub.

Additionally, customers seeing travel originate from Brisbane will be able to access more than 100 destinations across the United States now with just one stop.

The new daily season service is slated to commence on October 27, 2024, and will be operated with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner; this 787 comes equipped with additional comfort per the airline; this is achieved through 51 flagship suite seats and 32 premium economy seats.

A Big Moment For Australia & American Airlines

American Airlines says adding Brisbane to the network has fantastic ramifications for the overall connectivity between North America and Australia, with joint business between American and Qantas boosting travel.

American Airlines highlights the nonstop connections but also uses Auckland as an essential connecting point for onward travel, with Oneworld partner Qantas offering more substantial service options.

More Expansion Announced

Away from focusing on Brisbane, American Airlines has also announced a further expansion from Dallas-Forth Worth, with from October 27, 2024, the airline launching service to Rio de Janeiro (GIG).

Additionally, the carrier has revealed it’ll expand service from Miami (MIA) and New York (JFK). The company will offer four daily flights to customers who wish to explore Brazil.

This upcoming winter 2024-25 season, American Airlines will ultimately offer more connectivity to Rio de Janeiro (GIG) than any other U.S. airline, and even if other airline services are combined, American will still have more flights.

From October 27, 2024, American Airlines also notes it’ll have service between Dallas Fort Worth and Kona, Hawaii (KOA) while still offering service to Honolulu (HNL). Five daily flights to Hawaii from Dallas-Fort Worth alone will be provided.

Short-haul international services will also expand significantly throughout the winter, focusing on offering better connectivity to warm-weather destinations.
