As part of Tata Group’s continued revamp of Air India and associated brands, Air India Express is next on the chopping board.
Per reports from Mint and other local media, Air India Express will emerge with a revamped brand to symbolise similarity to Air India in a new era later this year.
Air India’s revamp received much criticism for its lack of taste and poor redesign from the previous scheme. However, Air India Express’s colours and branding are slated to differ.
While the font will remain the same, according to sources of Mint, the tail pattern will include a more pattern-like design that’ll ensure the aircraft feel fresh and unique in its own way.
October is also expected to be the month that’ll see the launch of the new branding on the first 737 MAX inbound as part of the fleet overhaul.
Tata Group has gone all out in attempting to revamp the image of Air India. While branding is a crucial step, inside the cabin, too, there’ll be significant changes to provide a more welcoming and inviting space.
With all the changes initiated by Tata Group, Air India Express hopes it’ll be a sleeker, more modern and futuristic airline with the essential Indian feel, paying homage to its primary base while catering to people from all walks of life.
Air India Express has 26 aircraft in-service, all 737-800s. This will shortly change as the airline acquires next-generation units as part of the company-wide fleet revolution.
KINDLY BRING BACK THE MAHARAJA IN A PROMINENT POSITION. .. ALSO IN AIR INDIA. Thank you.
