Additionally, travellers flying in higher classes or generally premium members will now have access to high-end features that enhance the travel experience across the two companies. These include accessing lounges, priority boarding, and more across airports on these services.

Already available for sale, ANA says it places its NH airline code on flights between Tokyo Narita and Delhi offered by Air India. In response, Air India is adding its airline code AI between Tokyo Haneda and New Delhi, alongside Tokyo Narita and Mumbai.

The pair is excited about building a strategic partnership and believes it will enhance customer experience and enable stronger connectivity. Japan and India are slated to continue seeing demand increase, and this partnership will cater to the growth experienced.

Initially, the focus will rest on codesharing, and the airlines haven’t ruled out exploring further iniaitives to deepen their collaborative efforts.

This partnership expansion could relate to the most basic increases in the routes on which codesharing takes place. However, much more could occur in the future to ensure that the airlines make travel easier for their customers.
